The Newfield is booked for tomorrow night and at the moment the sky seems likely to be clear, though very cold and probably windy. The plan is go up White Pike via the Walna Scar road, off the end and down through the high field below Pikes. If there’s time we might be able to go on to Caw and come down by the Duddon route.

The usual road option – Birks and back – is also available but I’d be concerned about ice on the road up there.
